Gluten Free Diet at Saigon Boys, Peterborough Ontario

by Allergy Guy

Saigon Boys is a Pho restaurant with gluten free options in Peterborough, Ontario.

The basic menu is typical of a Vietnamese pho restaurant: rice wraps (salad rolls), beef soup with rice noodles, rice dishes and vermicelli (thin rice noodles) dishes.  It also has spring rolls, which are made with wheat, so not everything on the menu is gluten-free.

It also has several Chinese and Thai options.

I had the pho, with rare beef.  The beef broth was above-average, and did not taste overly salty nor have too much MSG.  I thought the amount of beef was generous and the quality of the meet very good.  I also had the pineapple smoothy which was great.

Location

1524 Lansdowne St Peterborough, ON K9J2A2.  It is very close to the 115 at the Sir Standford Flemming exit.

Have you eaten gluten-free at Saigon Boys?  What was your experience?

I just ate there again today for lunch. The pho was very good and quite busy so obviously others like it too. The salad roles were so-so; OK but not the best I’ve had.
