Gluten Free Shrimp Stir Fry

Gluten-free diet can be fast, easy and no more expensive than regular food.  Stir-fried shrimp is tasty, nutritious, and gluten-free.

Many people with a gluten allergy or celiac disease lament their restricted diet.  I may lack convenient food at times, but I don’t lack variety and excellent food!

This recipe is a great example of the fantastic gluten-free food you can eat.

This meal is very fast to cook.  Preparation time is minimal, depending on the extras you include with the meal.

Gluten Free Recipe

This recipe serves two people.  It is completely scalable so you can feed as many or as few people, gluten-free or otherwise, as you like.

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb tiger shrimp
  • 1 tbs butter (organic preferred.  Coconut oil or olive oil acceptable substitutes)
  • 1 oz cooking sherry
  • ½ lime, squeezed
  • Fresh black pepper to taste

Preparation

Heat a frying pan to medium heat.  Melt the butter in the frying pan.

When butter has melted, add the shrimp.  Add the sherry once the shrimp begin to sizzle.

Stir the shrimp quickly, making sure that both sides of the shrimp contact the pan at different times.

The shrimp are cooked when both sides have an orange tinge.

When cooked, add the lime juice and grind fresh black pepper over the shrimp to taste.

Serve hot

Gluten Free Side Dishes

Stir fried shrimp goes very will with rice and vegetables, so you can serve this meal to you’re gluten-consuming friends and they won’t miss a thing.
