Your nephew may have celiac disease, which is not curable, he must just avoid all gluten. However if it is a gluten or wheat allergy, he may grow out of it. Since celiac is very serious. it is worth getting a test, if that is possible for you.

See gluten free food for more ideas on what to eat.

Check your local health food stores for gluten-free bread, and then check ingredients carefully for the other items you are allergic to.

I found out that Corn, Malt, Barley, molasis, honey, bananas, apples, etc, there were over 50 items that I’m sensitive to. But my main problem is finding a bread product that does not have corn, barley, or honey in it. Do you have any ideas?
Thank you!

Just thought I’d share my story to motivate people on the fence or get info out there.

Last week I came across a book called wheat belly, after trying to find a cure to my hay fever and asthma which eventually led me to looking at food allergies. I immediately cut out all gluten and wheat products just to see what would happen.

Within 48 hours I saw results! I usually take my inhaler for asthma every day usually around bed time. I haven’t used my inhaler for a week and have zero asthma symptoms since cutting out gluten!! I’m so excited. Not only that, my allergy symptoms seem to have gone, weight is falling off of me, and I feel extremely happy and energetic!!

I will try to reintroduce wheat and see what happens in a few weeks, but right now I feel it’s not so bad to lose these foods. It cuts all fast foods which I have to admit I dabbled in a bit too much. I’ve had this gut for my entire life, I’m a skinny guy. But I’m like skinny fat ya know? I have a small belly that just won’t go away but the rest of my body is thin. I can already see my belly shrinking, I don’t feel bloated anymore. Can’t wait to see the results in a few months!!

Anybody and everybody should at least try a wheat/gluten free lifestyle because I feel there are probably a plethora of problems caused by modern day wheat!! Nothing to lose by trying, everything to gain!

That’s a simple fact as per the table of glycemic index.

Almost all wheat in USA is from a dwarf strain, which produces a far greater yield but has contributed to the current obesity epidemic.

Some of the world’s most popular diets including Atkins, South Beach and the Dukan Diet have urged followers to ditch bread and other carbs to slim down, while a rising number of celiac and gluten sensitivity sufferers have dropped bread in the name of health.
