Fusarium<\/strong> is a genus of mold with many species. It is common in soil. Most are harmless, but some produce mycotoxins<\/a> which can effect your health<\/strong>. Members of the genus are a common cause of plant disease.<\/p>\n

People often develop allergies<\/a> to molds of this genus.<\/p>\n

One species of Fusarium, fusarium venenatum<\/strong>, is produced as human food, and marketed under the trade name Quorn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
