Gluten Free Garage

by Allergy Guy

Gluten Free Garage is a gluten free fair held on Sunday, 11 November 2012.  It is a showcase for 45 Toronto-area vendors of gluten-free food.

If you have a gluten allergy or celiac disease, then you have to avoid all gluten.  Period.  This doesn’t sound easy.  For those with long experience at avoiding gluten, it isn’t too bad, but it is still troublesome, and we must always be on our guard.  This gives all food-oriented events a background of stress, except when we make our own food with known ingredients, or eat the food made by trusted individuals or restaurants etc.

RonniLyn Pustil, founder of Gluten Free Garage, has planned this as a ‘yes’ event.  This means that celiacs, like her 6 year old daughter, who has celiac disease, can eat anything at the event.

Isn’t that what we all need!

If you, or someone you love is on a gluten-free diet, this will be a fun event!  Taken from the event website:

The Gluten Free Garage is a pop-up marketplace of all things deliciously gluten free. Like a farmers’ market with a gluten-free twist! This inaugural event will bring the community together under one roof for a tasty day of shopping, sampling and discovering what’s new and exciting in the gluten-free world.
