Hi Debra Lee
I understand how you feel. The first thing to do would be to try and find out what you did that led up to the appearance of the eczema. If it was getting the new mattress, and you itch more when lying on it, then that’s probably the cause. Ditch it! If you always eat wheat, or have increased your intake of it, then cut back on it. Ditto for using the swimming pool. The amount of chemical in the pool may have changed. What about any other new introductions to your household – soap, featherdown quilt? It could be as simple as elimination you see!
Just a warning about wheat, etc. White flour is in so many foods – brekky cereals, all those frozen crumbed foods, the list is endless. Our diet today is so full of processed “man made foods” with so many chemicals and sugar added into everything. How on earth can that be good for any body? . Started eating any new foods lately? Grapefruit and other foodstuff’s sometimes don’t mix well with medications either. Any extra preservative’s or additive’s in your food? So have a look at food label’s that might help.
After eight years of prednisone and immuno-suppresant’s, I am now following along the lines of what used to be called a “diabetic diet”, that I got from a local hospital. Eat lot’s of veggies from a local supplier if possible. Keep the weight down and exercise. Keep nylon and other man made fabrics away from your skin as much as possible. Let your skin “breathe”.
Hopefully your condition will get better. My problem is exasperated with the heat. Impossible to eliminate whilst living in Australia, but by doing all these things, I’ve cut down on my “totally” chronic eczema a little. I hope I may have helped. Good luck!

I am itching all over with eczema. Must be allergies but what. Could it be the swimming pool. Or my new foam mattress, or Wheat?
Have tried it all. Steroids, lotions everything. Even a biopsy was no help.
