Allergy Control Products

by Allergy Guy

Some types of allergies are best controlled by avoiding the allergen. Food is an excellent example of this. If you are allergic to wheat, don’t eat it!

Other types of allergen are much more difficult to suppress. Air-borne allergies are a good example of this. You can vacuum every day, but you will never be able to eliminate all dust or dust mites from your house (unless you live in the mountains).

For those allergens that you can not simply avoid, allergy control products will be very helpful in reducing or eliminating your symptoms.

This section will cover a number of different allergy control products. We will look when allergy control products can be helpful, which are best for allergy relief (depending on the type of allergy) and in some cases, we will review specific products.

As always, your comments are most welcome. Which allergy control products have you used? Which are effective in allergy control, and which are not? Do you have a favorite brand, or a brand you avoid?

An excellent natural relief for scaling, flaking and itching skin is Psorzema Cream. It is made by dermae. I bought it from the Whole Foods organic market. I use it on my face and legs twice a day, and I am very pleased with the results.

“Allergic to all foods” – I feel your pain

I can’t say that I’m allergic to all foods for sure, but I’ve felt and still sorta feel like just not eating anything cuz I have no idea what exactly is causing my symptoms (I don’t even eat that varied of a diet) and my mouth and throat seem to get itchy to so many different things I eat that I didn’t use to be allergic to – or at least I didn’t know/think that I was (I have had allergies/eczema practically all my life), and my allergies/eczema seem to just be getting worse.

But I’ve been doing a lot of research. Here’s some things I’ve found out. Do an elimination diet (new idea to me) it may take weeks or a couple months apparently. I’m at the point where I’ll limit to only eating a few foods if I have to though it’s hard after a while. Document what your eating and the symptoms you experience everyday.

Digestion is important. You may have low stomach acid. Try Betaine supplements with meals. Could also add digestive enzymes to the betaine routine. Could also add probiotics been hearing a lot about that with eczema.
– From what I make out you could have leaky gut syndrome where your body is absorbing foods that a healthy gut wall normally wouldn’t and your body perceives them as allergens. And/Or because your not digesting properly your food is completely broken down and when they’re absorbed then the body perceives them as allergens.

Make sure your getting all your nutrients. I use CRON-o-Meter. It’s a software that allows you to select the foods your eating each day and it will tell you the nutrition in it to see if your getting your RDA’s which you can adjust.

I heard low fat diets are really good. As far as candida, having high fat intake actually affects blood glucose levels which is what candida/yeast feeds off not just the sugar you eat. Dr. McDougall I think recommends 5-7% of daily calories should be fat.

There’s also the DHA GLA thing which I still wonder about cuz I tried it. Maybe I didn’t try it long enough or with other things I should have been doing.

There’s a good cream that moisturizes really well Nouriva that I found on Dermadoctor.com when my skin was ridiculously dry – it’s the only thing that helped. If your skin ever experiences getting so dry that you can’t even make an expression it’s good for that.

I heard topically, sea buckthorn, german chamomile, helichrysum. Check out Naturesgift.com They have a samples option which is more inexpensive.

Nutrition wise I’ve heard stuff on zinc, selenium, vitamin d (natural sunlight is best but it’s too cold out where I am right now), b complex, vitamin c, and maybe even iodine. Research each for yourself

Digestion is the biggest thing that stands out to me. Also, do things like eat three square meals a day with no snacking I heard that that inhibbits digestion of the meal you ate before your snack that’s still in your stomach. It takes even longer to sit in the stomach supposedly. and don’t eat late. Someone else also told me of how much getting good uninterrupted sleep affects there eczema, I can also agree.

That’s all I got right now.
These are all things I’m experimenting with right now. One thing I try to remember is that all of this stuff is probably gonna have to be done over a significant amount of time before things are really clear.

Hope it helps ๐Ÿ™‚

allergic to all foods

thank you for your reply. I have seen a few doctors and a dietician. All are stumped. my allergies are getting worse every year. so far i have eliminated these foods due to allergies: All dairy including eggs, all grain including rice, all pulses including soya, all nuts and seseame, tomatoes, potatoes, corn, small boned fish , pinapple, lemons, kiwi, lime, also preservatives in tinned meats, cider and wine, sulpher dioxide being the worsed of the offenders, oh and yeast. There are probably more i cant think of just now. Also allergic to all fur and feathers, dust mites, soap, pollen.
I am now running out of food options, feeling very ill all the time. I sleep too much and my skin is always itchy and covered in excema. my guts hurt too.
i am obviously still having bad allergic reactions but am concerned now about cutting anything else out!
Help! ๐Ÿ™‚

Look beyond foods

Hi Alex,

Sounds like you’re having a rough time.

Your original question was about food.

I think you have to look beyond food. You say in your second comment that you’re allergic to dust, feathers, pollen etc.

I suggest you take a closer look at your environment, especially:

  • $mold$
  • Chemicals
  • Amalgam filings
  • Root canals

Molds are a major health problem that can easily be overlooked. Some people can smell molds (I sure can!) and others can not.

Some molds are very toxic and can destroy your health. There is lots of info about mold on this website. Take a closer look and make sure your home and work environment do not have mold problems.

Many people are sensitive to all sorts of chemicals. New carpets, particle-board (used in furniture and kitchen cabinets especially) and cleaning chemicals are a few major culprits.

You may have thought I changed the subject when I started listing your dental health.

I’m just starting to learn more about the huge negative effects certain types of fillings, and root canals can have on your health.

Amalgam fillings are 50% mercury – one of the most toxic metals we are exposed too. Why the dental establishment thinks it is OK to put mercury in a patient’s mouth is a big mystery.

If you have amalgam fillings, I suggest you get them removed by a dentist that specializes in removing mercury fillings. If done wrong, you can go from ongoing slight mercury poisoning, to a major mercury poisoning event.

Root canals are also extremely problematic to your health if you have them. They can become infected without you knowing it (over time they are almost certain to). Once this happens, they are a constant source of toxins directly into your body.

Hope that helps.

Allergic to Food with Gluten

I almost have the same problem so I eliminated foods containing gluten and I can only tolerate if I bake fish, potato, and some vegetables like carrot or zucchini with onion and lemon juice and some salt. I have to experiment other foods to bake only or steam or boiled and no frying and not using canned foods or any processed foods.

I’m allergic to wheat, gluten, corn, soy, mold, dust and dust mites. The food allergies trigger the eczema. As for the dust mites, I can feel them biting me, feels like fleas are biting me. They make my life miserable. Last night I woke up at 3:00am and changed everything on my bed. No one else feel the biting and stinging. They think it’s all in my head. If I avoid eating wheat, yeast and soy, my eczema doesn’t flare up and my skin looks and feels good. I found a really good homeopathic doctor online. His office is in Clifton, New Jersey. If you live near this area, it would be worth it to visit him. If you would like to have his info., I will send it to you.

I would love the info about this Dr. I have had very bad luck with conventional doctors and Clifton is not unreasonably far for me.
Thanks!

Help

Is it possible to be allergic to all foods?

Reply

Allergic to all foods?

Being allergic to all foods sounds extreme.

If you have many allergies, it may seem like it.

You need to eliminate any and all foods that you know you’re allergic to. You have to be very strict about it.

Certain conditions can damage the gut, which may cause a reaction to all food.

Have you seen a doctor about this?

Yes it is possible it has happened to my wife. She is allergic to everything now except chicken she is now 39 years old..

No cure have tried everything out there and have travelled to find relief. She is basically in bed 5 days a week , its dis heartening watching her suffer every day. Started with excema in her childhood, foods that she has avoided for 12 years , she is still allergic to them and it gets worse every test.
Constant emergency visits with even the slightest exposure to the environment she gets analyphtic..

If someone can help with this..Please email me.
There has to be relief out there somewhere.

have you tried bioresonnanz or Oberon?
This computer tests your allergy and sends to your system the inverse information to desinform the cells from allergy information. These are my own non scientific words but look for yourself. I still have allergies but less than before I started that system.

Wowzer. Thats a doozie to be so allergic, except to chicken Jesse. I know for my own experience, things kept getting worse for me, when I lived in a place where I was allergic to something at home. For me it was mold. I had alot of it in the state I was living in.
When I was in this dire state, I hooked up with the Waiora company, which sells a liquid zeolite that removes the allergens from the BLOOD. For isnstance, one buyer I had, was deathly allergic to cashews. He bought the product to keep onhand. He accidentally at some, and took 1/2 a bottle of the liquide zeolite and was perfectly ok afterwards.
It could be your wife has very impure blood. Without seeing her, and finding out all details of your lfestyle, it is still safe to recommend one thing; that is RED CLOVER TOPS for tea. YOu can buy it by the pound online. Buy organice. Also grow your own food, thereby avoiding gmo and over hybrids, pesticides and wierd things put in our soil. Also we have such degeneration of soil here, so anyway. Dont know where you live. Use heirloom seeds everywhere you plant a garden.

I am just trying to make plain natural law. Your body is made up to follow certain laws of nature; like getting excersize regularly, inviting fresh air into your home daily, neve havin an animal to live with you, pure soft water as your source, and several others including the healing action of sunlight & MODERATION of healthful activites. Overdoing the God given pleasures of life, will wear down a woman much faster than a man. Too many offspring for the woman to care for is an example. She may need a live in help if this is the case. This is what happened to me.

These could help emensly when followed as a faithful steward of her body.

The most important law of health, is that your wife find a peace within her soul, regarding who she believes her creator is, and what His character is like. Is He horrible and a tyrant? Has he left her? These kinds of things torture the soul and separate us from free circulation of the blood. Test her out to see what she thinks perhaps.

I know this must be an extreme situation for you ! I hope you can receive these principles easily enough, and begin to incorporate them

I believe it would be helpful for your wife to find a good homeopathic doctor, because he/she will be extremely thorough. I went to a natural healing center when I had chronic fatigue syndrome and they helped me to get better when regular doctors couldn’t. I will be praying for a better qualiity of life for your wife.

Its been known to happen

Yes, it is possible. This isn’t the most common reaction for people who are allergic to Penicillin but it has been know to happen (some reports say about 400 per year in the USA alone).
