“Garfava” is a mixture of chickpea<\/a> flour (or garbanzo<\/a> flour, know as chana in Indian stores) and fava bean<\/a> flour. It is sold in some health-food stores as a replacement<\/strong> for whole wheat<\/a> flour.<\/p>\n

Because it lacks gluten<\/a>, it is not a direct replacement for wheat flour. You may have to add xanthium gum<\/a> to some recipes to get the correct consistency.<\/p>\n
