Koilonychia<\/strong>, also known as “spoon nails”, is when the nails are too thin. This can cause them to appear flat, or even concave (curved up) rather than convex (curved down).<\/p>\n Koilonychia can be caused by anaemia<\/a>.<\/p>\n Anemia can be caused by celiac<\/a> disease, an intolerance to gluten<\/a>.<\/p>\n Koilonychia – abnormally formed nails (see description).
