Hi 🙂

Wow where do I start? I have been seriously sick for over 15 years with Chronic Fatigue, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. I have spent the last four years, cleansing my body, changing my diet etc and have come along way from where I was. I was close to death. I still kept hitting a brick wall and recently discovered my sensitivity to starch, gluten, and am having allot of trouble digesting meats. I don’t know what to eat!! I am basically only eating fruit and greens. I feel so much better without these foods that I have trouble with. I can’t eat potatoes, carrots, yams, chickpeas basically any thing with allot of starch. I started taking enzymes and find this does help allot. I am losing weight fast. I was not heavy in the first place being 5 feet 7 inches and weighing 125pounds. I am now at 114 pounds from only one month ago after first stopping gluten and than a week ago all starches. I started to eat meat but find I can’t digest this very well.
I would just really like to know what I could eat and how to make these things. LOL I just feel lost right now. 🙂 But will not give up on regaining my health and life!

Anyone wish to share with me 🙂

Kathryn.

I have been told thru blood tests that I have 14 food sensitivities. banana, blackberry, blueberry, coffee, cranberry, egg, mushroom, oyster, pineapple, pork, tomato, wheat, and bakers and brewers yeast. They give a 4 day rotation diet. I have been following it for a few days so far. I was also tested for gluten…that came back negative. My protein choices are fish most days. I don’t enjoy it. How can I make sure I get enough protein?

I am having some eye allergies with my left eye this season with pine pollen I believe. Why would it only effect one eye? This has also occurred when I am afflicted with nasal allergies. Allergens seem to only effect only one side of my body. Is this the norm??

This looks like a great site! So glad I found it. Through elimination diets I have found that I am sensitive to gluten, dairy, and nightshade vegetables (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant). My constant pain and headaches have decreased tremendously since I started eating without those items. I am also soy free by choice.

There is still something in my diet that is triggering occasional headaches and other symptoms. I have a list of some items I am looking at: quinoa, corn, baking powder (GF), bananas or one of the alternative flours in a general GF mix I have. I am suspecting the quinoa which is how I found your site. I really appreciate all your information and also all the comments from other people. I am going to try another elimination diet to determine the newest culprit.

I wish I had done this years ago. It is so nice to not have constant headaches and pain. I really wish that more medical professionals would see the benefit in diet to help various symptoms.

Thanks for all the work you put into this site!

Try to keep my house dust proof. Josephine Thanks.

Many people on this website report an improvement in asthma when they cut out gluten. This may not be the answer for everyone, but it is worth a try. Good luck!

I have been diagnosed with allergies within the last week. I am having trouble finding information on my allergy to OAT WHEAT. What does this mean? Do i need to avoid wheat or just oat content?

It sounds to me like oats and wheat.
I suggest you clarify with the place that did the testing. Mean while, avoid both.

I have recently been told I have 6 food allergies, by process of elimination I have found out in past two weeks that my wheat allergy is looking more like I’m allergic to Yeast rather than wheat.
I’ve had Irritable Bowel Syndrome for 8 years and only found more answers that there are things that I’m allergic to. I would just like more information on different foods as to what is in them and maybe what I should eat and shouldn’t etc.

I have enviromental allergies.moulds,dust,grass,trees,etc. I am 59 years old and I used to get allergy shots once a month. I had been taking allergy shots for at least 30 years. I went off them several months ago and I have been very tired (constant fatigue) ever since. I have taken antihistamines but they do not seem to help much.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and I am currently on plaquenil and arava. I would like to know if it is alright to resume my allergy shots considering my auto immune system disease and the meds I am on?

Sorry, I can not give you medical advice. You will have to discuss this with your doctor.

Hi my daughter who is five years old has some problems feeling well. Mostly its concentration problems, hyperactivity, feeling out of sorts and she is not able to tell me why. The thing is sometimes she is an angel. I believe she is allergic to milk and wheat both. I read an article today about children who have had kowasocki’s disease also sometimes had Celicac Disease. Also I read somewhere else that food allergies in children sometimes cause behavioral problems. I have two other children and they don’t have these behavior tendencies. Any suggestions?

You certainly should look into allergies for your daughter. It is an often-overlooked problem.

You can get food allergy testing done, and that might help, but it isn’t all that accurate, think of it as a guide.

I suggest you try an elimination diet.

I saw a Dr last week who thinks my issue is Yeast Allergies……seeing a nutritionist next week …….the yeast free online book I bought has many recipes, but I am also a vegetarian, and I do not like Tofu. I need to find recipes for all 3 meals and for snacks. I usually have a protein shake with many frozen fruits for breakfast ……but now find out I can’t have fruit…just not sure what to eat!!!!

I am looking for help with meal planning in order to get enough calories, protein, etc. as have been tested and have allergies to all meat except lamb, all fish and shellfish, wheat and oatmeal, corn, sweet potato, peas. No problem with dairy. I’m making shakes with powdered whey protein and trying to make a meal. Yesterday had scrambled eggs, potatos and cheese on top with rice bread. Any ideas?

Hi Doreen,

Thanks for signing up to the newsletter.

One basic way to get a complete protein is to cook with rice and beans or rice and lentils. Add vegetables and herbs and you have a wide variety of tastes to choose from.

Take a look at some vegetarian cookbooks for more ideas and different sources of protein.

My main concern is sulfite allergies and chemical sensitivities. I now carry an epi-pen wherever I go do to the sulfite allergies–eating out has become non existant-which makes traveling difficult. I basically don’t travel anywhere I can’t tote a cooler along with me. I really appreciate the information you have on your site. Thank you!
