Gluten-Free Diet Story by Ashley

A gluten free diet can be very beneficial to many people. You may experience more energy. Cutting out gluten may turn your whole life around.

Ashley left this comment on another article (gluten allergy symptoms). It is such a good and useful comment that I've turned it into an article.

Ashley talks about the problems she had and how cutting out gluten helped.

She also explains the battle she had with doctors who did not understand that she has a gluten allergy.

My Journey to Finding Gluten-Free Heaven

By: Marina

One lazy Sunday morning, despite a restless night of sneezing and fever, I decided to find a gluten free bakery called Baby Cakes whose owner I met at a health food store a few days before, so I ventured down the streets of China Town, past Little Italy, not knowing exactly where the place was located and after a long refreshing walk down Broome St., I finally saw a sign.

Gluten Free Oats

Many people who are gluten intolerant can tolerate oats, others can not. Most find that they can tolerate oats as long as they are truly gluten free. On the farm, the harvesting equipment used to harvest oats, can be used to harvest wheat. In the manufacturing process wheat and oats are also often cross contaminated. Gluten free oats, have no opportunity to cross contaminate with gluten.

Gluten Free Beer

Drink responsibly!
Gluten free beer may sound strange, purists will even argue that gluten free beer, isn’t beer! That being said several manufactures have tried to market a beer for people who have celiac.

Despite some main stream beer brewing clubs not allowing gluten free beer, gluten free brewing clubs have formed. These clubs are enjoying the challenge of brewing a beer, with out gluten.
